In 1957, the University of Tirana was founded, which had 6 Faculties. Part of them was the Faculty of Medicine, in which thousands of doctors were educated and graduated by the professors and pedagogues of this Faculty, who, in cooperation with other local and state factors, created a series of unforgettable health miracles. The history and fame of the Faculty of Medicine are not only made up of books, monographs, lectures, conferences and seminars, theses and doctorates developed and defended within it, but first and foremost the human lives saved with professionalism and success by former students and students who have graduated from its benches.

The Medical University of Tirana is a public higher medical institution in Albania that:

trains and educates health professionals in all three cycles of study according to the highest professional standards;

Fan S. Noli University of Korçë

The Fan Noli University is a higher education university and former institute of higher education, based in the Republic of Albania, and established in 1971. Fan Noli has around 1000 students across two campuses, based in Korçë, and Pogradec, respectively

The Bachelor's degree program in "General Nursing" aims to train nurses capable of helping individuals, families and groups of people to fulfill their physical, mental and social potential and to achieve this in the context of the environment where they live and work, acting with the quality of nursing care experts within the framework of a multidisciplinary team.

Obtaining the "Bachelor's" degree in "General Nursing" gives the student the opportunity to continue their studies in the second cycle "Professional Master" and "Scientific Master".

This cycle of studies equips students with:

High competence in knowledge of professional ethics, medical legislation and maintaining professional secrecy.

Good knowledge of health services, hospital hygiene, outpatient and inpatient treatment of patients, surgical preparation and their post-operative follow-up, familiarity with medical equipment and their maintenance, first aid in medical emergencies in the hospital environment and outside it.

Aleksandër Xhuvani University is an institution of higher education located in Elbasan, Albania. It is divided into five faculties: Natural Sciences, Humanities, Economics, Educational Sciences and Medical and Technical Sciences.

Ismail Qemali University of Vlorë

It was founded in 1994 as Vlorë University of Technology Ismail Qemali. As of 2014, it offers degrees in economics, public health, and humanities, in addition to engineering and technology.

Universiteti i Vlorës, Ismail Qemali (UV) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 30-year-old Albanian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic records and grades. The acceptance rate range is 40-49% making this Albanian higher education organization an averagely selective institution. UV also provides several academic and non-

academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.

UVL is the only Albanian institution that has endorsed and

undersigned The European Charter for Researchers and The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment

of Researchers in October 2016, supporting the implementation and efficiency of a more

conductive research policy-making in the near future in line with the European Higher Educational

institutions. UVL is working hard in establishing close relationship with industry as well as

transferring the earned knowledge in real life. However, partnership is of paramount significance

in order to better understand actual needs of the society and prepare students for employment.

University of Vlora offers accommodation to incoming exchange students in its student Dormitory. The dormitory (situated at the Faculty of Human Science Campus) offers very good conditions and is comfortably suitable for students at very low prices (4500 Lekë = 36 € per month); It hosts two buildings; one for female students and the other one for male students.

is a private Catholic university in Tirana and Elbasan, Albania.

Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel” is among the first in the country in terms of private university education in the field of health and aims at the care and health of persons. WBU is creating an innovative modern medical program, the first of its kind in the area, in consultation with the Cambridge University Medical Education Group (CUMEG), UK.  WBU aims to recruit motivated students, produce exceptional graduates, and create a self-sustaining ecosystem of medical practitioners and educators. The medical course is highly integrated, centred around inquiry-based learning, and composed of ten integrated longitudinal curricular themes as well as system-based and clinical specialty-based learning modules. WBU medical students will train primarily within the “American Hospital Group” and “International Hospital (formerly known as Hygeia Hospital Tirana)” across several sites and have clinical exposure throughout the course, beginning in Year 1.
