is a public research university in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the oldest and largest modern university in Serbia.

The University of Belgrade is the oldest and largest university in Serbia. It consists of 31 faculties with around 90,000 students, as well as 11 research institutes, the university library, and 7 university centres, most of which are located in the capital city.

According to the latest ranking of universities around the world, better known as the "Shanghai ranking list", the University of Belgrade has been ranked among the best 400 universities in the world.

Faculties of the University are organised in 4 groups: social sciences and humanities, sciences and mathematics, medical sciences, and technology and engineering sciences.

Faculty of Medicine

Medical training, which takes place at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, consists of training of physicians - training of senior physicians, training of physicians to specialist physicians, training of specialists to narrow specialists, continuous training of physicians of all profiles with the aim of identifying them with the latest achievements of medical science and profession, training of scientific personnel in the field of medical sciences. The said work is carried out in accordance with the mission of the Faculty of Medicine.

The University of Novi Sad has a well-developed research infrastructure and great potential for innovation. The Central Library and the Faculty and Institute libraries offer a rich array of publications that cover all relevant scientific areas and enable access to large electronic databases. Resulting from a special agreement on cooperation, researchers, professors and students have access to the Matica Srpska Library, the oldest Serbian scientific and cultural institution, founded in 1826, which offers more than three million publications. The University encompasses around 250 laboratories. Of special significance to the strengthening of innovativeness is the Technology Park of the University of Novi Sad. With the support of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, around 140 start-up and spin-off companies have been founded, mainly in the IT sector, employing young engineers who graduated from the University of Novi Sad. Some of these companies implement projects for large international corporations and have contributed to Novi Sad becoming recognized internationally as a “Software Valley”.

Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine Novi Sad is a higher education institution within the University of Novi Sad that implements higher education study programs as well as scientific research work within the fields of medical sciences, social and humanities sciences and interdisciplinary programs.

Within the scope of higher education, the Faculty implements first, second and third degree studies as well as various forms of knowledge innovation and professional education studies. With its educational, scientific and health activities, the Faculty contributes to providing personnel whose knowledge and skills meet the needs and standards of the wider area and thus participates in improving and preserving the health of the population.

Within the scope of scientific research, the Faculty of Medicine strives to contribute to the development of science and to providing scientific youth among students and associates.

In addition to teaching and research work, the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad fosters publishing activities, has a rich library collection, and is developing information infrastructure.

University of Kraguyjevac

is a public university in Kragujevac, Serbia. It is the oldest and the largest higher education institution in Šumadija and Western Serbia

Today the University of Kragujevac is a modern education and research center embracing almost all major areas of teaching and research, with a student population of 18.000 and 1.200 academic staff. The University Library is also a member of the University of Kragujevac. It is a library of general scientific character whose activities are in the function of teaching, scientific and research processes at the University. In this way, it contributes to the successful practice of study, dissemination and affirmation of knowledge, educational and scientific creativity of professors and associates of the faculties and institutes of the University of Kragujevac.
